How to get your Employees Engaged

The new buzz is about employee engagement, but what does that mean? Does it mean that the employees are motivated? I believe these are two very different terms. Engaged employees are in the game for the sake of the game; they believe in the causes of the organization. Motivated employees are in it for what they can get out of it. Who would you rather have on your team?

The second fallacy is that this is all on the employees. It’s their fault that they’re not engaged.  Really?  What are you as their employer or manager doing to engage your team members?  Are you communicating the vision; looking for their input; rewarding them for extra effort; and are you treating them with dignity and respect? These are just a few of the ways to generate engagement.

If you want to get your employees engaged and are wondering how to go about it, maybe we can help. You can reach me by replying to this post or hitting the “Contact Us” tab.
